Athing Mu won't be joining the U.S. track and field squad at the Paris Games as part of the relay pool. Although the middle-distance runner didn't qualify at trials to defend her 800-meter Olympic title, she figured to be under consideration for a spot in the relay. Noah Lyles, Sha'Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone were all named to the U.S. roster. The squad includes four reigning Olympic champions in shot putter Ryan Crouser, 400-meter hurdler McLaughlin-Levrone, pole vaulter Katie Moon and discus thrower Valarie Allman. Quincy Wilson, a 16-year-old from Maryland, and sprinter Christian Coleman are in the relay pool.
