DRAPER — A mother and 1-year-old child were hospitalized Monday after they were injured in a crash in Draper.
A car was going west on 12300 South near 265 West when it struck a northbound SUV about 2:30 p.m., Draper police said. The SUV spun and hit a truck that was stopped at the light.
A 1-year-old child was severely injured in the crash, and the child and his or her mother were transported to Primary Children's Hospital for treatment. Police did not specify which car the mother and child were in nor disclose their conditions.
The other driver sustained minor injuries.
Police encouraged everyone to stay away from the area as the crash was being investigated and cleaned up. Police said they know someone ran a red light, but they're not sure which car it was yet.
