PHILADELPHIA — Rhys Hoskins expected to shed a tear in his return to Philadelphia, and it didn't take long for that to happen. The Brewers designated hitter received a standing ovation Monday before the first at-bat of his first game against the Phillies. Hoskins tipped his batting helmet toward the Phillies' dugout and tapped his chest above his heart. He later homered in the seventh inning. Hoskins spent seven seasons with the Phillies, who decided not to re-sign him after Bryce Harper moved to first base. He was a clubhouse leader and helped carry the franchise from irrelevance back to championship contention.
