(KSL News) New information about the bicyclist who was hit and killed by a car.
Bap Akol Deng Bap, a 36-year-old Sudanese immigrant, was not wearing a helmet when he was struck by a motorist.
The motorist, Pedro Sosa, fled the scene but later turned himself in to authorities.
Sosa is charged with negligent homicide and leaving the scene of an injury accident, both class A misdemeanors.
Bap came to the United States in 2003 and worked at Black Diamond Equipment, an outdoor outfitter. He rode his bike home every night after work.
He has a cousin in this country and a brother in Canada.
