SALT LAKE CITY — Caitlin Clark's scoring record this season put the spotlight on women's basketball.

It also reminded us of the man whose record she broke, former LSU and Jazz star "Pistol" Pete Maravich.

"She's special, and Pete was special, too," former Utah Jazz head coach Frank Layden said. "But I like to think of Pete — I don't even think of Pete of terms of playing, though I saw him do the impossible over and over again, but I like him as a guy. He was something special."

On Beyond The Game, we go back in time, remembering one of the greatest to ever play the game. Watch the story of Pete Maravich and his ties to Utah in the video above.
