SARATOGA SPRINGS — A Kearns man accused of shooting at a business while driving is now facing criminal charges seven months after his arrest.

Cameron Joseph Langlois, 22, was charged Wednesday in 4th District Court with three counts of aggravated assault and three counts of illegal discharge of a firearm, third-degree felonies; and shooting a gun from a highway, a class B misdemeanor.

On April 12, 2023, about 7:30 a.m., Langlois was driving on Redwood Road near Saratoga Springs, when "at least four shots were fired from the vehicle Cameron Langlois was driving toward several individuals who were standing outside at CMC Rock," a concrete and construction materials company, according to a police booking affidavit.

One employee "reported that he heard gunshots and heard bullets whiz by and hit around where he was standing," and between seven to 10 shots were fired, charging documents state.

Another employee, who was inside a work truck at the time, said he "heard someone shooting at their direction" and "bullets going over them and to the east of them and heard them hit the ground just past them," the charges state.

A third employee told investigators he heard "at least 10 rounds whizzed right over them," according to court documents.

No injuries were reported.

Using surveillance video from the area, social media posts and other investigative tools, police identified Langlois as the possible gunman. When questioned, Langlois claimed his friend, who had been a passenger in the car, was the one who fired the shots, and the only reason his DNA would be found on the casings is because he helped load the gun, the charges state.

However, prosecutors say the shots were fired out of the driver's side window, according to the charges. The gun used in the shooting had not been recovered as of Wednesday.

Langlois was originally arrested in August.
