HOUSTON — Led by Zhuric Phelps' 16 points, the SMU Mustangs defeated the Rice Owls 95-69. Alem Huseinovic scored 20 points for Rice. The Mustangs improved to 16-7 with the victory and the Owls fell to 9-14.
