OREM — A California man was charged Thursday with inappropriately touching his Lyft driver.
Kumar Parvesh, 30, of Fresno, is charged in 4th District Court with forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.
On July 16, a woman picked up Parvesh at "the airport," according to charging documents. The charges do not say if he was picked up in Salt Lake City or Provo.
"While driving, (Parvesh) was in the back of the vehicle and began asking the victim if she would go on a date or go somewhere to get drinks. The victim indicated 'No,'" the charges state.
Parvesh then reached around the seat and inappropriately touched the woman several times, despite her attempts to push his hand away, the charges allege.
After dropping off Parvesh, the woman contacted police who said she identified Parvesh in a photo lineup.
