MOAB — A man walking in the road was hit and killed by a semitruck Saturday night in Moab.

The crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. on U.S. 191 about eight miles north of Moab. Utah Highway Patrol troopers said a man in his 50s was wearing dark clothing and walking in the roadway when he was struck by a semi.

The man was killed in the collision. His identity has not yet been released. The driver of the truck cooperated with the investigation.
