WEST VALLEY CITY — Troopers have identified the motorcyclist killed in a single-vehicle crash on I-215 Monday night as James Boyd Barker, 60, of West Valley City.

Barker was entering I-215 west while traveling north on an on-ramp from 3500 South about 10:36 p.m. when the accident happened.

Troopers say the motorcycle rolled after leaving the roadway "for an unknown reason" and driving across loose dirt on the shoulder.

Investigators still haven't said what they believe caused the crash.
