Read KSL's Take here SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Rashard Lewis scored 27 points, and the Orlando Magic beat the Utah Jazz 103-94 on Saturday night despite playing without injured center Dwight Howard for the first time. Howard missed the first game of his career because of a left knee injury sustained in Friday's loss at Phoenix. He had played in all 351 games since being drafted No. 1 overall in 2004.

Orlando (18-6) also got 23 points from Hedo Turkoglu to improve to 9-3 on the road this season.

Andrei Kirilenko and Deron Williams each scored 17 points for Utah, which committed 22 turnovers, its second-highest total of the season.

The Jazz (15-10) fell to 10-4 at EnergySolutions Arena, matching their total of home losses from last season, when they went 37-4. Utah shot just 3-of-15 from the field in the pivotal third quarter and finished 33-of-76 (43 percent) for the game.

Orlando opened the third with a 16-1 run to erase a 10-point deficit. The lead grew to 72-61 on Jameer Nelson's 3-pointer as the Magic outscored Utah 34-12 in the quarter.

Utah narrowed a 15-point deficit to just five with 3 minutes to go, but could get no closer. Orlando made 14 3-pointers and topped the 100-point mark for the third consecutive game.

Nelson scored 17 points and had six assists for the Magic.

The Jazz built a 56-46 halftime lead after closing the second quarter with a 21-11 run. Utah made its first five 3-point attempts, including one by Williams that pushed the lead to double figures just before halftime.

Notes:@ Jazz shooting guard Morris Almond made the first start of his career in place of Ronnie Brewer, who was attending his aunt's funeral. Almond scored five points. Utah power forward Carlos Boozer missed his 13th straight game with a strained left quad. He hasn't played since Nov. 19 against Milwaukee. Marcin Gortat started in place of Howard and finished with four points and five fouls. Utah fell to 10-3 when leading at halftime.
