MILLCREEK — Police arrested a man wanted in connection with a series of 7-Eleven robberies throughout Salt Lake County over the past month.

Andrew Armani Deionte Rowe, 27, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail Wednesday night for investigation of six counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of aggravated kidnapping.

Police believe Rowe is responsible for robberies at 7-Elevens in Salt Lake City, Murray, Millcreek, Holladay and Cottonwood Heights. All of the robberies happened between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.

On Sept. 12 Rowe entered a 7-Eleven at 2917 S. Highland Drive, locked the doors behind him and handed a note to the clerk, according to a police booking affidavit.

"The note stated something to the effect of, 'Do as I say or you will lose your life,'" the affidavit states.

The clerk gave Rowe money and he left. Minutes later, Rowe entered another 7-Eleven at 480 E. 3900 South, "displayed a handgun to the clerk and demanded all the cash in the register," according to the affidavit.

Similar robberies happened on:

  • Sept. 14 at 895 E. 4500 South.
  • Sept. 26 at 2289 E. 3300 South.
  • Sept. 27 at 911 E. 3300 South.
  • Oct. 2 at 4750 S. Holladay Blvd.

On Wednesday, "based on cellular phone data and physical surveillance," detectives determined they had enough evidence to arrest Rowe. Police say although he was arrested for investigation of six robberies, he is believed to have robbed at least three more stores. Those cases will be screened by the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office.
