SALT LAKE CITY — Check back for the latest scores from all the Week 10 high school football games across the state.

The last week of the regular season is spread out fairly evenly with games Wednesday-Friday, so check back each day to see how the season wraps up. This week, we're also selecting two games of the week ... because why not?

KSL.com Sports' Game of the Week: Brighton at West (Wednesday)

Why did we choose this game?

It's the last week of the regular season, and the Region 6 title hangs in the balance. The good news is the top two teams in contention for the title play each other in the final game of the season. Brighton travels to West, which tops the region with a perfect 5-0 record, with hopes of stop the home team from hoisting up the region trophy.

Brighton has had the better overall season with a 7-2 record, but dropped a game in region play. The Bengals are scoring 30.1 points and allowing just 16.6 points per game this season — and has been even better on defense in region play.

West, on the other hand, which started off the season with back-to-back losses after a Week 1 bye, scores 31.5 points and allows nearly a touchdown more at 22.4 points per game. But West has been even better in region play and averages 39.6 points per game to an undefeated region record.

We look forward to seeing who comes out on top Wednesday night.

KSL.com Sports' Game of the Week: Syracuse at Davis (Thursday)

Why did we choose this game?

Coming into the season, Syracuse was the favorite to win the region. And for the most part, the Titans backed that up until a surprise 27-26 loss to Weber in Week 7. But even with one loss on the season in region play, Syracuse is primed to get it done Thursday night on the road against an undefeated Davis (4-0) team in region play.

Davis has been a bit of a surprise this season, but has been consistent for much of the year. The Darts' only loss this season came in Week 1 against a formidable Lehi team. The schedule hasn't been daunting for Davis, but they've gotten the job done and is ready to celebrate on its home field a region title.

The two teams average essentially the same amount of points in region play — only 0.3 points on average separate the two — but Syracuse has a major leg up on Davis with its defense. The Titans defense averages just 9.3 points per game in region play, while Davis averages 20.5. The Darts will need an efficient night against that stout defense to stand a chance.
