SALT LAKE CITY — American Fork's reign as a top-two team didn't last long after a 17-14 loss at Lone Peak last week.

Skyridge reclaimed its long-held spot in the top two alongside Corner Canyon with a 35-17 win over Lehi and the American Fork defeat, but just how far did the Cavemen fall? Read on to find out.

1. Corner Canyon (6-1, 2-0 6A Region 2)

The Chargers keep rolling through their new opponents in Region 2, this time dismantling Riverton 55-12 on the road. They travel to Copper Hills next week before finishing the regular season against Bingham and Herriman at home.

2. Skyridge (7-0, 2-0 6A Region 3)

The Falcons started a gauntlet end to the season by taking on Lehi last week and emerging unscathed, once again. Lone Peak is up next, looking to spoil yet another undefeated season after taking down American Fork. Skyridge ends the season with a pair of top-five opponents in Pleasant Grove and American Fork.

3. Pleasant Grove (7-0, 2-0 6A Region 3)

The Vikings are in a similar spot as Skyridge, with the greatest challenges to an undefeated season still ahead of them. They'll finish the season against American Fork, Skyridge and Lehi. Quarterback Carson Rasmussen continued his breakout campaign with one rushing and two passing touchdowns in a 35-7 win over Westlake last week.

4. Timpview (5-2, 3-0 5A Region 7)

The Thunderbirds are burning through Region 7, scoring 40 or more points in their last two games. They take on Wasatch next week before finishing the season with a sneaky-good matchup at Maple Mountain, who defeated Orem 31-14 last week.

5. American Fork (6-1, 1-1 6A Region 3)

What a difference a week can make. The Cavemen were threatening the top of the rankings with a dominant 62-28 win over Lehi two weeks ago, but hit a wall against Lone Peak. American Fork managed just 14 points and got shut out in the final three quarters. It doesn't get any easier with Pleasant Grove coming to town this week.

6. Lehi (5-2, 0-2 6A Region 3)

The Pioneers' first two weeks in a 6A region have not been easy, with a pair of losses to American Fork and Skyridge. They get a bit of a break next week against Westlake before taking on Lone Peak and Pleasant Grove.

7. Mountain Ridge (5-1, 1-1 6A Region 2)

It might not have the spotlight of Region 3, but Region 2 is no slouch for 6A competition. Mountain Ridge followed up its first loss of the season to Corner Canyon with a 5-point win against Copper Hills. The Sentinels travel to Herriman this week for another tough region test.

8. Brighton (6-1, 4-0 5A Region 6)

The Bengals took the lead in Region 6 with a 21-20 win over East to move to 4-0 in region play. They travel to the struggling Alta Hawks before welcoming Queen Creek from Arizona, and finishing the season against West, who currently sits in second in Region 6.

9. Crimson Cliffs (6-1, 4-0 4A Region 9)

The Mustangs show no signs of slowing down, dominating the Stansbury Stallions 62-20 to move to 3-0 in region play. They take on Hurricane and Pine View next before a final showdown against fellow Region 9 leader Dixie.

10. Box Elder (7-0, 4-0 5A Region 5)

You could make the argument the Bees are still severely under-ranked as one of just three 7-0 teams in 5A and 6A. They escaped Viewmont with a 31-28 win last week and welcome Bountiful in next week's game.

11. Lone Peak (3-4, 1-1 6A Region 3)

After coming within a goal-line stand of upsetting Pleasant Grove the week before, the Knights got their signature win over American Fork to remain relevant in a crowded Region 3. They could spoil yet another undefeated season next week as they travel to Skyridge.

12. Syracuse (5-2, 1-1 6A Region 1)

The Titans were on the wrong end of the other big upset of the week, losing 27-26 to Weber (more on them later). They'll face Fremont and Layton before taking on the current Region 1 leader in Davis.

13. Davis (6-1, 2-0 6A Region 1)

The Darts beat Fremont 42-0 and moved down a spot — it's a tough business. The Region 1 leaders travel to Layton and Farmington, and have a chance to really boost their final ranking with a home game against Syracuse to end the regular season.

14. Sky View (7-0, 3-0 4A Region 11)

The Bobcats flexed their muscles last week with a 69-18 win over Logan to further establish their Cache Valley dominance. The Region 11 leaders finish the season against Green Valley and Mountain Crest before beginning a promising postseason campaign.

15. Park City (7-0, 4-0 4A Region 10)

The Miners welcome the Beetdiggers next week before a pair of intriguing matchups to end the season. First is a trip to Tooele to take on the second-place team in Region 10 — off to a 3-0 region start after opening the season with four-straight losses. The regular-season finale is a non-region matchup against Springville.

16. West (3-3, 3-0 5A Region 6)

The Panthers are undefeated in region play but sit in second place with one less win than Brighton. They travel to Highland next week before welcoming East and Brighton in the final two games to decide the Region 6 winner.

17. Bingham (3-4, 2-0 6A Region 2)

The Miners seem to have found their stride in region play and are tied for the Region 2 lead with Corner Canyon. The two leaders face each other on Oct. 6 before Bingham ends the season against the upstart Mountain Ridge.

18. Olympus (4-3, 2-2 5A Region 6)

The Titans move back into the Top 20 with a pair of solid region wins over East and Alta. They could be dark horse challengers for the Region 6 title with remaining games against Highland and Skyline.

19. Ridgeline (6-1, 1-1 4A Region 11)

The Riverhawks got their first region win over Mountain Crest and take on Logan and Bear River next before ending the season with an out-of-region trip to Orem.

20. Springville (5-2, 2-1 5A Region 7)

The Red Devils close out the Top 20, once again, after a solid win over Wasatch to tie with Maple Mountain for second place in Region 7. The two second-place teams face each other next week in Springville.

Plus-1: Weber (3-4, 1-1 6A Region 1)

The Warriors came out to play!

Weber took down Region 1 favorite Syracuse in a 27-26 win to hand the Titans just their second loss of the season. Quarterback Crew Cacciacarne threw a pair of touchdown passes to help Weber come back from an early 20-7 hole, and the difference in the end was a missed extra point in a 1-point loss for Syracuse.

The Warriors now sit at 1-1 in region play with three more games to try and catch the Davis Darts.
