AMERICAN FORK — An American Fork man who police say was exchanging child pornography and expressing his desire to sexually abuse children has been arrested.
Bradlee Matthew Campbell, 27, was charged Monday in 4th District Court with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, a first-degree felony; and 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony.
During April and May, investigators say Campbell communicated with someone online and by text "and the two are discussing their sexual attraction to children," according to charging documents.
Campbell sent the other person a video of child pornography and received 10 videos and pictures in return, the charges state.
"These images were especially egregious," the arresting officer wrote in a booking affidavit.
During his conversations with others online, investigators say "Mr. Campbell also discusses a desire to act on his sexual interests and sexually abuse children he has or may encounter in real life," and alleges he has communicated with others online who claimed to have sexually abused children and he wants to travel to meet them, the charges state.
Campbell was arrested Wednesday. Prosecutors have requested he be held in custody pending trial because Campbell has allegedly stated he has been aroused by children who come to the grocery store where he was employed.
