There's no shortage of fun activities to be had in Utah's summers, but lounging out to great music with delicious food in hand, surrounded by some of the state's best scenery, is pretty much unbeatable. Filled with exciting national and local artists Snowbasin's Blues & Brews is quickly becoming one of Utah's most popular outdoor concert series for good reasons.

Located at Snowbasin Resort, the concert venue is second-to-none. Nestled on the backside of the Wasatch range and just below the famous Mt. Ogden peak, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better way to spend your Sunday afternoons in July.

Several ticket options are available, starting at $15 for an event ticket. You can also get in with a gondola ticket for $29 or a brunch buffet reservation for $79. Snowbasin Premier Pass Holders get free admission.

The concert series promises cooler mountain temperatures, great music and award-winning food and drinks. You're not going to want to miss it.

It's closer than you think

If you've never been to Snowbasin then you should know it's closer than you think — and it's one of the most scenic drives in the state.

For reference, Snowbasin is located about 45 minutes north of Salt Lake City, 20 minutes outside of Ogden and just about an hour from Park City and Cache Valley.

Dog and family-friendly atmosphere

All concerts are outdoors, located near Earl's patio on the lawn. Don't worry if you don't know where that is, it's easy to find. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair while you relax and listen to incredible live music.

Snowbasin is a dog-friendly resort, so bring your furry friends! Just remember to keep them on a leash and clean up after them. Leashed dogs are welcome in any outdoor spaces, on trails and on Needles Gondola.

Great food and brews

While you're relaxing out on the lawn listening to the music, be sure to grab yourself some delicious, award-winning BBQ from Earl's Lodge (view the menu here). Pair it with one of the top-notch local brews available, and you've got yourself the perfect recipe for a good time.

If you want to save some money, you can purchase a 2023 Snowbasin collectible and refillable beer stein for $30, which includes the first draft beer. Refills are $14 throughout the 2023 summer at any Blues & Brews and other Snowbasin events including SnowWiesn, Snowbasin's Oktoberfest-themed festival featuring live music, brews and Bavarian food.

Local music for a good cause

There's a wealth of musical talent in Utah, and many national and local artists hit the stage each Sunday bringing great vibes, tunes and fun for the whole family. And while there is a charge for admission (children under 4 years old are free), a portion of all ticket sales is donated to the Ogden Valley Land Trust and GOAL Foundation to assist with their respective missions to better local communities.
