WASHINGTON — Brett Kennedy won in his return to the majors as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Washington Nationals 8-4 thanks to a big offensive showing. Kennedy struck out three and allowed four runs in his first major league game since 2018. Jonathan India homered twice, and rookie sensation Elly De La Cruz went 4 for 5 with hits from both sides of the plate. Cincinnati has won three in a row and six of seven. Washington starter Patrick Corbin was lit up for six runs and 10 hits in five innings.
