SOUTH SALT LAKE — A cyclist was transported to the hospital in "relatively serious" condition Tuesday night after being hit by a car, police said.

Officers said they received a call about an auto-bicyclist crash at the intersection of 3300 South and 500 East around 11 p.m. Tuesday. The bicyclist was taken to the hospital, but more information about his condition was not available.

Investigators said they were still looking at how the crash happened and said the driver was cooperating.
