MADE YOU LOOK — Remember the game you played as a kid when you pointed a direction and tried to get your friends to look at nothing? (Also, known as the game I still commonly play — hey, gotta do something on ski lifts!)
For one softball player, all those years of making people look sure paid off.
Carthage High (Texas) senior Jada Walton found herself in a bit of a pickle. She had rounded third and headed for home only to find the ball beat her — by a lot.
Instead of sliding and hoping for the best, Walton jumped out of the way of a tag and made a move for the plate. But, realizing she couldn't get there in time, she stood up and got into a face off with the opposing catcher.
What was her next move? Something just about everyone has tried at one point. She pointed down the first base line with the clear intent of causing some kind of distraction.

Amazingly, the old "look over there" trick worked. The catcher's head quickly snapped to the left, and that gave Walton just enough time to get her hand on home plate before getting tagged.
"I was amazed with what I just did. I had never seen that happen; trick somebody like that," Walton said.
Remarkable stuff.
Oh, and Carthage won 7-5.
