PROVO — A 42-year-old woman was killed in a rollover crash on I-15 in Provo early Wednesday.
Provo police spokeswoman Janna-Lee Holland said the single-vehicle crash occurred at the southbound off-ramp at Center Street in Provo.
Patasha Adams of Herriman, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene from her injuries.
A statement from Provo Police Department said Adams was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected as the vehicle rolled over.
Police responded to the crash at 2:23 a.m. and the ramp was closed until about 5:45 a.m.
The statement said the investigation into possible contributing factors is ongoing.
Adams was southbound on I-15 and exited at Provo's Center Street ramp. She missed the turn onto the eastbound flyover. The car hit a barrier which caused it to launch and roll down an embankment.
