Does your child struggle to learn? Perhaps they are bright and eager but have difficulty processing information. Or they might put in the effort, but something seems a little off. Words, sounds, letters get mixed up. Instructions don't make sense. They are easily distracted, causing them to distract others.
This is a very common story. One that Fifi Clayton, the owner and operator of Learning Technics knew all too well.
When her daughter was seven years old, she was having a difficult time keeping up with her schoolwork. She could barely read, and anything she did read, she couldn't retain. Fifi would spend one to two hours each day working on sight words and practicing her spelling to no avail. She recounts that those daily study sessions would often result in one or both of them leaving the room in tears. Even with all the extra practice at home and extra help at school, Fifi's daughter was still falling further and further behind. On Fridays—spelling test day—Fifi's daughter would come home in tears because she didn't get any words correct on her test.
This was devastating for Fifi and her husband to watch. Something was clearly wrong, but they had already exhausted all the resources the school had available and were at a loss for what to do.
Then, Fifi heard about the Learning Technics program from a friend—something that could help her daughter with the Dyslexia and ADHD she'd been struggling with, without relying on unending tutoring or medications.
Fifi says, "We took her to be evaluated prior to beginning the program, and found that she couldn't march. She couldn't do a jumping jack or even jump rope. Her eyes couldn't track properly, and she was seeing things in a very different way. This process helped us to understand the correlation between the physical and the neurological processes, and reassured us that there was a path forward for our child."
After the initial evaluation, their daughter jumped right into the program. Fifi recalls, "We started seeing results pretty early on, but one of the most remarkable things was one day, about 3 months into the program, she came home beaming from ear to ear and was so excited to show us her spelling test! She had gotten a 90%! At this point, it was very apparent that as the neurological connections in her brain became stronger, so did her ability to process and retain information."
After Fifi completed the program with her daughter, she had developed such a strong passion for it that she started working as a Physio-neuro therapy instructor and had very similar results with her own students.
A couple of years later, the founders of Learning Technics, John Heath and Sally Higley, decided it was time to pass the torch along. Fifi and her husband have since taken over as the new owners/operators of the organization and have marveled at the legacy John and Sally have built over the last 30+ years.
Since then, the Utah-based company has built a proven track record with years of success stories from kids ages 7 and up to adults that have put themselves through their program.

What to expect from the Learning Technics program
Physio-neuro therapy works like physical therapy for the brain. It involves physical, visual, verbal, and auditory exercises that are mentally challenging. Examples include writing with your non-dominant hand or creating reverse or reflective images. These activities promote neurological development by strengthening the brain's ability to cross-pattern, make and hold a visual image, and help with enhanced conceptualization. There are over 100 exercises/activities that your student will master over the course of 26 weeks. These mentally stimulating activities put strain on the brain, which forces it to create new neurological pathways and tissue. In other words, you get used to doing something that's hard — and the more you do it, the stronger you get.
As you progress and achieve mastery of a certain activity, we will give you a new exercise that incorporates a more challenging element into the activity to help maintain healthy levels of strain on the brain.
Consider again the analogy of going to physical therapy —just like your body needs continued repetition in physical therapy to strengthen or heal from an injury, your brain needs consistent exercise over a prolonged period of time to strengthen or build new neurological connections needed for learning. Through an understanding of neuroplasticity, we are working to build not just new synapses, but we want to create permanent neurological superhighways where information can flow freely and efficiently!
During this time you will have a dedicated success coach to guide you every step of the way. You will have access to the Learning Technics online learning platform where all the program material, video tutorials, and written instructions are organized in a very easy-to-follow program. As you begin the program we will help you determine the best starting position for your student. We don't want to start them off too easy or too difficult.
