MYTON, Duchesne County — One woman was killed in a head-on collision in Duchesne County early Monday.
At 6:44 a.m., a Hyundai Kona was traveling east on U.S. 40 about a mile west of Myton while a Peterbilt hot oil truck was traveling west at the same location.
The driver of the hot oil truck drifted into the eastbound lane and struck the Hyundai Kona head-on, according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol.
The 32-year-old female driver of the Hyundai was killed on impact, the UHP said. Troopers have not yet released her identity. The driver of the hot oil truck was not injured.
Lane closures were in place for about two hours during the investigation.
