BARCELONA, Spain — Villarreal has beaten Real Madrid 2-1 in a vibrant Spanish league match that will help rehabilitate the reputation of former Barcelona coach Quiqué Setién. Yeremy Pino put Villarreal ahead in the 47th minute. A handball by Villarreal's Juan Foyth allowed Karim Benzema to momentarily level with a penalty in the 60th. But another handball, this time by Madrid defender David Alaba, sent Gerard Moreno to the spot to take the winner for Villarreal in the 63rd. Setién had spent two years without coaching between his short stint at Barcelona and taking the job with Villarreal in October.
