RICHFIELD — Four people were arrested in Sevier County following a high-speed chase with police.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers spotted a vehicle going 110 mph on I-70 near Richfield Tuesday. A trooper attempted to pull over the vehicle which got off the freeway at an exit.

The trooper noted that the "vehicle was making erratic movements and brake tapping. (The) vehicle made a U-turn after going under the freeway underpass and got back onto the freeway going west with no intention of stopping. A pursuit was initiated at this time," according to a police booking affidavit.

The fleeing vehicle then exited the freeway again and got right back on the eastbound lanes.

"The vehicle made a U-turn in the median shortly after going east and continued going west. The vehicle continued to the I-15 interchange and continued south on I-15, speeds reaching 120 mph," the affidavit states.

Troopers spiked the vehicle's tires outside of Beaver where it came to a stop. In the vehicle, police found an open container of alcohol, marijuana, ecstasy pills and "financial cards that did not belong to any of the occupants," according to the affidavit.

Four people were arrested for investigation of several crimes, including drug distribution and failing to stop for police: Anthony Joseph Rivera, 26; Emmanuel Pena, 33; Alex Jonathan Otero, 33, and Meghan Bridget Moore, 20.

Troopers noted that while questioning the four occupants, they mentioned "fleeing from law enforcement in other states" and also "continued to cover for each other during interviews," the affidavit says.
