SAGE CREEK JUNCTION, Rich County — Two people were killed Wednesday morning in a crash on state Route 30 in Rich County near the Wyoming border, troopers said.

The crash happened near Sage Creek Junction, about 4 miles from the state line, when a Toyota Camry and Buick Century collided, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden said.

Both of the drivers sustained fatal injuries, he said.

A passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to a hospital with injuries, according to the sergeant. He did not know that person's current condition.

The vehicles involved in the crash were blocking both directions of traffic early Wednesday, but troopers were alternating traffic to move it through the crash area.
