SOLDIER SUMMIT, Wasatch County — Utah State University Eastern soccer player Lauren Bradshaw was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Soldier Summit in Wasatch County on Saturday night.

"On Oct. 22, 2022, we tragically lost an incredible member of our women's soccer team, Lauren Bradshaw, following an automobile accident," athletics director Jess Brinkerhoff said in a statement posted on social media. "On behalf of the entire USU Eastern athletics department, our love and condolences to Lauren's family, friends, teammates and coaches. We are devastated by this heartbreaking news and pray that comfort can be found as we come together as a department and university."

Bradshaw, 18, was traveling east on state Route 6 in a Toyota Corolla around 6:40 p.m. Saturday, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Troopers said Bradshaw's car left its lane and struck head-on with a Ford F-350 pulling a camper.

The roads were wet at the time of the collision, according to UHP trooper Quincey Breur. UHP confirmed she was the victim on Tuesday.

Bradshaw was a freshman on the women's soccer team at USU Eastern. She attended Skyridge High School in Lehi, where she won a state championship as a freshman and made the state finals as a senior, according to her bio on the team's website.
