DRAPER — Draper police believe a decomposed body found Tuesday off-trail near Ghost Falls is a Millcreek man who went missing three years ago.

A driver's license found near the body belonged to 53-year-old Bradley Cutler. Cutler was last seen in the Millcreek area on Father's Day, June 16, 2019.

"Based on this information, we believe these are the remains of Mr. Cutler. The Medical Examiner's Office is working on confirming the man's identity," Draper police announced Thursday. While a cause of death has not been released, police said there are "no obvious signs of foul play."

Tuesday, about 8 p.m., a hiker found skeletal remains in a dried -up creek bed near the Ghost Falls trail and called police, said Draper police Lt. Pat Evans.

"We believe that we have an idea who the person is. We're not releasing that person's identity until the actual confirmation occurs after the medical examiner does their (review)," Evans said Wednesday.

Police estimate the body had been in the area for two to three years.

"It's a good resolution for some people," the lieutenant said of the remains being found.

Evans noted the remains were found in an area that not a lot of hikers cross through.

"Personally, I've hiked those trails multiple times this year and would've never, ever came across these remains. This person was just out in the trees and came across it," Evans said.
