SALT LAKE CITY — A Taylorsville woman who police say created and sent child pornography photos to a man she was dating in order to impress him has been ordered to serve at least 10 years and up to life in prison.

Brittany Driscoll, 36, pleaded guilty Tuesday under the terms of a plea agreement to two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child from a person in a position of trust and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, all first-degree felonies.

Driscoll was originally charged with aggravated sexual abuse of a child and sexual exploitation of a minor, first-degree felonies; and 14 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony. The other charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal.

The woman was dating Christopher Poole, 34, who had a child pornography addiction and was under investigation after Snapchat reported the uploading of child pornography video and images on his account, according to charging documents. During questioning, Poole told police that he had received photos from Driscoll on Snapchat.

"She stated Christopher would ask for the naked photos of (the) child and she wanted to impress him so she would take them," a police booking affidavit states.

Third District Judge William Kendall sentenced her two terms of 10 years to life in the Utah State Prison for the aggravated sexual abuse charges, and a term of five years to life for the sexual exploitation of a minor conviction. Kendall recommended that these three sentences be served concurrently, or at the same time.

Poole, of Tooele, was charged along with Driscoll, but he has not yet had a preliminary hearing or entered a plea. He is charged with solicitation of rape of a child, a first-degree felony, and 12 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, two first-degree felonies and 10 second-degree felonies.
