SALT LAKE CITY — A man wanted by Salt Lake City police for allegedly peering into the window of a girl while she undressed has been identified and arrested.
According to a police booking affidavit, the man, was who was 17 when he allegedly looked in the window but turned 18 on Wednesday, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of voyeurism.
On Sunday, a girl observed someone looking inside her window in the area of 700 North and 900 West as she undressed, according to the affidavit.
"The victim recorded (the man) while he was outside the apartment window. (He) was confronted by the victim and several involved witnesses after he remained in the area for some time," the affidavit states.
The man ran off before police arrived. But after Salt Lake police released a picture taken by the witnesses to the public, they received several tips and were able to identify the suspect. The man admitted to police he used his cell phone to record the girl undressing and "also described a similar pattern of previous voyeurisms," according to the affidavit.
