SALT LAKE CITY — Championship week didn't disappoint as Utah and Utah State earned their first respective conference titles in program history. The rest of the games were entertaining and made for a great last weekend of college football before bowl season.

The weekend's games netted two Utah fans and one BYU fan the top three prizes for Week 14 of the KSL.com College Football Pick'em. Utah fans Robert Messer (194 points) and Tate Ripplinger (169 points) claimed the top two prizes, with BYU fan Bob Gray (168 points) coming in third for the week. Congrats!

Of the five games picked, three of them were major upsets in the voting, with Alabama dethroning Georgia in SEC championship game as the biggest upset of the week — can Alabama winning ever really be an upset, though? Only 12% of all picks had the Crimson Tide coming out on top against a then-undefeated Bulldogs. As a result, the average score earned for that game was only 4 points.

Utah State beating San Diego State in the Mountain West Conference championship game and Baylor beating Oklahoma State in the Big 12 championship game were the other two big upsets of the week. Only 14% of all picks believed in the Aggies (a total of 36% of Aggies fans predicted a win) and only 19% of all picks believed in Baylor.

With so many upsets over this weekend, the average earned scores were extremely low, but Utah State fans came out on top with an average earned score of 11.7 points, followed by Utah fans' 11.4 points and BYU's 9.6 points. BYU fans continue to hold onto a slim lead for the season with an average score of 20.9 points, followed by Utah's 20.4 and Utah State's 20.3.

Each week's first-, second- and third-place winners will get a $100, $70 and $30 Visa gift card, respectively, courtesy of Goldenwest Credit Union. The overall winners of Pick'em will receive a $500 gift card for first place, a $250 gift card for second place and a $100 gift card for third place.
