WEST VALLEY CITY — At least one person was injured Wednesday after police say two men stole a vehicle, crashed into another car and then crashed into a house in West Valley City.

The men, who did not have weapons, approached a woman who was working in her vehicle at the Costco parking lot at 3747 S. 2700 West and demanded she give them her car, West Valley police said.

The woman complied and called police as the men drove away in her car. She also took cellphone video of them, police said.

As the men drove out of the parking lot, they caused a crash with another car and hit a house in the area.

One person from the other car was taken to a hospital. Their condition was not immediately available.

The two men who had stolen the car ran away from the scene, and police were searching for them Wednesday afternoon.

Additional information, including the extent of damage to the home, was not immediately available.
