WEST JORDAN — One person is dead after a five-car collision in West Jordan on Friday, police said.

The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. when a northbound vehicle "collided into the rear of the vehicles" while traffic was rolling to a stop near 7700 South on Bangerter Highway, said West Jordan Sgt. Saunders.

The crash is under investigation.

The identity of the deceased and medical conditions of the people in the other cars is not known at this time.
