MURRAY — A woman with outstanding warrants was arrested Monday after allegedly hitting four vehicles — including two police cars — while trying to escape.

Agents from Adult Probation and Parole were looking for Pete Salazar, a probation fugitive, on Monday and said they spotted him in the passenger seat of a car near 4850 S. State.

"Agents converged on Salazar and surrounded the black vehicle with their police vehicles," a police booking affidavit states.

The driver of the vehicle, Marty Robb, 31, who also had outstanding warrants for failing to show up for her court hearings, tried to drive off and escape, police say.

"Robb repeatedly rammed two police vehicles in order to create an opening where she could get away. As Robb attempted to get out onto State Street, she drove toward two agents who had to quickly move out of the way to avoid being struck by Robb's vehicle," the affidavit states. "Robb then drove onto the sidewalk and rammed two civilian vehicles as she continued her escape attempt."

Agents used a less-lethal shotgun on Robb to stop her, according to the affidavit.

"Two less lethal-bean bag rounds were deployed," a spokeswoman with the Department of Corrections added.

Robb was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of two counts of aggravated assault, failing to stop for police, theft of a car and four counts of criminal mischief.

Salazar ran from the car after it stopped, but was chased down by officers who used a Taser to get him to stop, according to the Corrections department.

Correction:An earlier version incorrectly said Salazar was a parole fugitive instead of a probation fugitive.
