SOUTH SALT LAKE — A 57-year-old woman who was previously reported missing out of South Salt Lake has been found, police said.
As of Wednesday morning, Susan A. Lavender had been located by Unified police and was transported to a hospital for treatment and observation, according to the South Salt Lake Police Department.
Lavender, who was considered an endangered missing person, had last been seen in South Salt Lake City at 1:45 p.m. when she walked away from Avalon Valley Rehabilitation Center, police said. Police reported her missing on Tuesday evening, and a statewide silver alert was issued.
Lavender has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and walks with a limp, police said. Lavender also has a history of hitchhiking.
