Sego Fire in Grand County now 100% contained

The Sego Fire, burning in the Book Cliffs north of Thompson Springs in Grand County, is now completely contained, state and federal fire authorities reported Monday through Utah Fire Info.The fire was last reported at 167 acres and was lightning-caused, officials said.

Antelope Fire in Iron County now 50% contained

Crews gained 50% containment on the Antelope Fire, burning northeast of Newcastle in Iron County, state and federal fire authorities reported Monday through Utah Fire Info.The fire was last mapped at 178 acres and is believed to be human-caused from a carbon particle that came out of a vehicle's exhaust, according to Utah Fire Info. There was no new growth on the fire as of Monday morning, authorities said.

The #AntelopeFire is 50% contained, no new growth. Today 4 engines, 2 water tenders and 1 type 2 IA crew are assigned to the fire.

Bennion Creek Fire in Utah County now 94% contained

The Bennion Creek Fire, burning north of Scofield Reservoir in Utah County, is now 94% contained, state and federal fire authorities reported Monday through Utah Fire Info.The fire began June 4 and is now 8,313 acres, authorities said.There are no remaining area or road closures associated with the fire, officials said. Crews are expected to complete containment lines around the western side of the fire area on Monday.— Jacob Klopfenstein, KSL.com

Pack Creek Fire in San Juan County now 80% contained

The Pack Creek Fire, burning in the La Sal Mountains in northern San Juan County, is now 80% contained, state and federal fire officials reported Monday through Utah Fire Info.The blaze started on June 9 after someone abandoned their campfire, authorities said. It's now reported at 8,952 acres, according to fire officials.Fire crews will continue building containment lines, monitoring existing lines and addressing hot spots, officials said.The duration of the Pack Creek Fire is expected to be long, and people in the area should expect evacuations, trail and road closures in the area to continue.The Holyoak and Dark Canyon areas are still evacuated. Geyser Pass and Oowah Lake Roads are closed, and Warner Lake and Oowah Lake campgrounds remain closed, officials said.
