Crews recover body after car goes off road in Emigration Canyon

SALT LAKE CITY — Search and rescue crews recovered the body of a motorist after a car went off the road at a switchback in Emigration Canyon Sunday afternoon.

The car landed about 200 feet down a hill in vegetation, according to a Facebook post from Salt Lake County Sheriff's Search and Rescue.

Crews responded about 1 p.m. and found the driver had been ejected. It took them about two hours to recover the body.

Investigators have not said what caused the crash and the name of the deceased has not yet been released.
