SPANISH FORK — One person is in critical condition after a crash between a semitruck and vehicle outside of Spanish Fork on Tuesday, officials said.
According to Utah Highway Patrol trooper Chris Bishop, a medical helicopter landed to transport the victim.
Utah Department of Transportation said about 4:10 p.m. that both directions of U.S. 6 near U.S. 89 in Spanish Fork Canyon were closed. The lanes reopened at 6:56 p.m. just 10 minutes after the estimated clearance time, according to UDOT.
Cleared: All lanes are now open on US-6 at MP 178 near US-89 in Spanish Fork Canyon. Drivers should expect heavy residual delays in the area. Check the UDOT Traffic App or @waze before travel. @UDOTRegionthree@UDOTRegionFour@UtahTrucking
