Motorcyclist dead in Salt Lake City crash Sunday morning

SALT LAKE CITY — A man is dead after a motorcycle and SUV crash on Sunday morning, Salt Lake City police confirmed.

Police received notification of a crash at 1300 South and 700 East in Salt Lake City at 8:54 a.m. Sunday, Lt. Lisa Pascadlo said. The motorcyclist's exact age and identity have not been released.

The middle-aged male motorcyclist was "very significantly injured" and bystanders initiated CPR almost immediately, Pascadlo said. "Despite their efforts and the efforts of our paramedics, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries on the scene."

The SUV driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the police.
