TOOELE — A boil order issued Friday for residents in two Tooele subdivisions, Loma Vista and Skyline Ridge, has been lifted.
Tooele City released a statement Sunday afternoon confirming that test results from the Department of Drinking Water showed that drinking water was safe to drink. The water now meets regulatory standards and is free of harmful bacteria.

The order impacted residents east of Droubay Road, west of Canyon Overlook Drive, north of Skyline Drive, and those on 270 South, Tooele City officials said.
Reports of a damaged water line in the area caused officials to issue the advisory.
Residents were asked to boil water and allow it to cool or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation. Boiling the water kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
