ROY — Northbound I-15 between 650 North in Clearfield and 5600 South in Roy will be closed Monday from 10 p.m. until Tuesday at 5 a.m., according to a Utah Department of Transportation.
Drivers will be detoured at the 650 North off-ramp and back onto I-15 from state Route 126 near Main Street and the 5600 South on-ramp, a UDOT press release said.
During the closure, a new overhead traffic sign will be installed by crews. The new overhead traffic sign is part of the I-15 Express Lanes project, which adds new Express Lanes and repairs sections of I-15 from Layton Parkway to Riverdale Road, according to UDOT.
"These improvements will improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and provide a smoother ride for drivers," the press release says.
The department said that the project is scheduled to complete construction in Fall 2021.
