FIELDING, Box Elder County — A driver died early Thursday morning after a rollover crash in Box Elder County, authorities said.

The crash took place just after 6 a.m. Thursday on state Route 13 north of Fielding in Box Elder County, according to a news release from the Utah Department of Public Safety.

The driver of a 2015 black Honda Accord was traveling south on the highway when the car went off the right side of the road, the release said. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle spun out of control, crossed northbound traffic lanes and went off the roadway again, according to the release.

The car then rolled multiple times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries, officials said. He was identified Friday as 25-year-old Kyle A. Christiansen, of Fielding, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Drug and alcohol impairment are being investigated as possible factors in the crash, the news release said. No further information about the crash was immediately available.
