BRIAN HEAD — One woman was killed and two others were injured around 4 p.m. on Tuesday in a snowmobiling accident near Navajo Ridge just outside Brian Head, according to Brian Head town marshals.

According to Brian Head Deputy Marshal Jared Burton, two marshals responded to the accident and administered CPR with the help of an off-duty officer from the Los Angeles Police Department. Burton said that despite life-saving measures, one woman could not be revived. A man who was also injured in the crash was transported in critical but stable condition to Cedar City Hospital.

The woman was identified Thursday as Keiko Baldwin, 65. Her husband, who remains in critical condition and is still undergoing surgeries at Cedar City Hospital, was identified as John Baldwin.

Another woman involved in the crash was also treated at Cedar City Hospital and released.

"The safety of our visitors is extremely important to the Town," Burton said in a press release. "Unfortunately, some of these activities involve risk, so we implore our guests to be familiar with their equipment and exercise appropriate caution at all times."

Further information was not released.
