Kearns teen dies of injuries suffered in car crash

KEARNS — A teenager has died from injuries resulting from a two-vehicle crash near 4900 West and 5400 South on Thursday.

On Friday, Unified police identified the 17-year-old as Chaz Groat of Kearns.

The accident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, when two cars collided and one entered the front yard of a residence. Two people who were injured were transported to a hospital.
