2 Utah high schools transitioning to online learning due to COVID-19 cases

TOOELE — Tooele and Northridge High School will be transitioning to remote learning due to an increase in COVID-19 cases, the districts announced on Thursday.

Tooele School District announced that due to an increase of positive COVID-19 cases in the past 36 hours, Tooele High School will begin remote learning starting next Monday, Dec. 14. In a document, Tooele outlined the upcoming transition and schedule including details like breakfast and lunch still being available for curbside pickup.

Northridge High School, in Davis School District, will begin transitioning to online learning on Friday with fully remote instruction starting on Dec. 14. Northridge currently has 17 positive COVID-19 cases, according to the district dashboard.

Both Tooele and Northridge will return to in-person learning after Winter Break on Jan. 4.
