SALT LAKE CITY — The silver alert that was issued Wednesday for a 73-year-old man from South Salt Lake was canceled on Thursday.

Kenneth Hayden Brockell, 73, was last seen on Nov. 12 at 2585 S State Street. He's described as a white man with gray hair with blue eyes. Brockell weighs 155 pounds and 5 feet 7 inches tall and uses a black and red motorized wheelchair to get around

Brockell spoke to an employee on Nov. 10 and told her that he was in the hospital and asked that she continue to show up to work even though he wouldn't be there for a while. He was supposed to move out of his apartment on Nov. 15; but when officials checked, his belongings were still in the apartment and the keys he was supposed to leave behind were missing.

Further details about the cancellation of the silver alert were not immediately available.
