(KSL News) Lawyers for a doctor accused of handing out painkillers like they were candy want evidence against him thrown out.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports Dr. Warren Stack's attorneys have asked a judge to limit the evidence prosecutors can present at trial. They say a warrant used to search Stack's office lacked some standard legal language and therefore was too broad.

Stack is accused of illegally prescribing at least three and a half million doses of narcotics to patients.
