SALT LAKE CITY — A number of record low temperatures were set across Utah on Tuesday, one breaking a record that was set 103 years ago.

According to the National Weather Service, there were nineteen record low temperatures and two tied throughout Utah.

Several places dropped to single digits including Deer Creek Dam (5 degrees Fahrenheit), Hanksville (breaking its 103-year record of 9 degrees), Hans Flat (8 degrees), Kodachrome Basin State Park (7 degrees), Loa (3 degrees), Panguitch (8 degrees), Pine View Dam (8 degrees) and Scipio (6 degrees).

Salt Lake City tied its previous record at 24 degrees, as did Tooele, also at 21 degrees.

Other areas that experienced record lows include Bullfrog, Capitol Reef National Park, Cedar City, City Creek Water Plant, Kanab, Logan, Manti, New Harmony, Downtown SLC, Spanish Fork and Zion National Park.

The rest of the week will have warmer temperatures with the Wasatch Front seeing temperatures in the mid-60s by Friday.
