TOOELE — Eastbound I-80 has been cleared following a crash near the Salt Lake-Tooele county line that closed the freeway lanes for hours Friday.

Two commercial vehicles, as well as a pickup truck and a passenger car, were involved in the crash, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The agency reported the crash at 10:20 a.m.

One person was taken to an area hospital in serious condition, the highway patrol said.

All eastbound lanes were closed about a mile west of Lake Point, according to the highway patrol. The freeway reopened about 1:30 p.m., but drivers in the area should still expect some residual delays, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.

People can also use state Route 201 as an alternate route, UDOT said.
