SALT LAKE CITY — A woman suffered minor injuries Wednesday after she was stabbed in the face.
Earlene Parker, 30, of Salt Lake City, was arrested for investigation of aggravated assault.
Salt Lake police say Parker had apparently been drinking with a 62-year-old woman when the two got into an argument and Parker stabbed the woman in the face. The victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said.
After the stabbing, Parker approached a random motorist and “stated she needed a ride, as she was just beaten by her baby daddy,” according to a police affidavit.
The witness attempted to help Parker, but as they were driving she “stated she stabbed a woman and was waving the knife around in the car,” the affidavit states.
After dropping Parker off in the area of 1300 S. State, the driver returned to the original scene and realized police were likely looking for her and contacted officers. Police located Parker, whom they have dealt with frequently, and arrested her.
