(KSL News) -- Some neighbors in Sandy helped police catch a robbery suspect this afternoon.
It started in Midvale when a woman reported her purse stolen at a WalMart. The suspect took off in an SUV, which a Midvale police officer eventually spotted.
A chase began, but got too dangerous and was called off in Sandy. A few minutes later, the SUV crashed into a house.
The man took off and a woman inside tried to run too, but neighbors held on to her until police arrived.
"She was screaming the whole time that her boyfriend was gonna kill her. Look at my face. He's gonna kill me he's got a gun."
The woman is now in custody and police are still searching for the man.
